There are several transportation options for getting to Cornell Tech. Depending where you are coming from, we recommend the following:

FROM MANHATTAN

TRAM
The easiest way to access Roosevelt Island from Manhattan is via the Tramway Car. Take the Tramway Car at 59th Street & Second Avenue Station in Manhattan (travel time is 4-5 minutes). Exit at the Tramway Station on Roosevelt Island. Campus is just south of the Queensboro bridge station.

We do not recommend taking a cab from Manhattan to the Island.

FROM QUEENS, LAGUARDIA, OR JFK

SUBWAY
Take the F train to the “Roosevelt Island” stop. Walk south .3 miles on W Road. (Please note that due to ongoing construction, F trains are running every 20 minutes to Roosevelt Island and can only be accessed from 21 St-Queensbridge station in Queens.)

BUS
The Q102 bus connects Roosevelt Island to Long Island City and Astoria in Queens.

CAR
Uber, Lyft, Curb, Arro, and other services offer the simplest transportation to and from the airport. If you are flying to NYC, the nearest airports to Cornell Tech are LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and J.F.K. International Airport (JFK).

Access Roosevelt Island by car via the Roosevelt Island Bridge from 36th Street in Queens, then drive south down Main Street. Note that there is limited parking on the island, so we do not recommend driving to HealthNext.
